Half our crew today was happily putting up siding on the north side of Bol's house. We made a good team with leveling, cutting, measuring, holding and....
I got to use a nail gun!
We got about eight feet high today, and it looks great!
Meanwhile, up on the second floor: Prepping the upstairs ceiling was a stellar crew! Gill, Bol, John, Kat, Devon and Dylan got a ton of work done!
BTW, if Dylan and Devon are any indication of the generation coming out of High School now. The world will be a better place. These two young men worked hard all day long, even swept out the dust and leftover dense pack insulation from my house on their own initiative.
Katie,
ReplyDeleteTransition Town Charlotte has a VCAN Grant to host a Green Open House Tour in Charlotte. We're looking at Saturday, March 17, 2012, and hoping 6 different homeowners might be willing to allow people to visit their homes on that day and to talk about the things they have done to conserve energy. We'll also produce a video about the tours.
We were hoping that as a Habitat Homeowner, you might be willing to participate and be a stop on the tour.
Any interest?
If so, you can email me at kablume@gmail.com, and I'll put you in touch with Suzy Hodgson who's organizing the project.
Thanks - and congratulations. And happy upcoming birthday!
